ACC currently meets at:
Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church which is located at 1500 N Glebe Road just of Ballston and I-66.
PARKING: Ample parking can be found in the lot on the north-side of the church. The entrance to the church parking
lot is also on the left one block beyond the church.
Enter through the basement door between the parking lot and the church.
Follow the basement hallway to the fellowship hall at far end of the church.

Directions to ACC
The Arlington Chess Club meets every Friday night beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the basement Fellowship Hall of the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church
which is located at 1500 North Glebe Road in Arlington, Virginia. The extended building is located between N. 15 Street and N. 16th Street.
Enter through the basement door between the parking lot and the church. Follow the basement hallway to the fellowship hall at far end of the church.
PARKING: Ample parking can be found in a large lighted church-only lot north of the church and across N. 16 St. – the entrance to the parking lot is just north of the traffic light at N. 16th St., with a short garden path taking you to the church entrance.

From Washington, DC using Route 66:
Take Route 66 and the Roosevelt Bridge out of Washington, DC. Stay in either of the two left lanes as you go over the bridge.
This is to avoid the exit for Rt 50 and/or the George Washington Parkway.
Follow Route 66-West for 2-3 miles and use the N. Glebe Road exit. Turn right at the stoplight at the end of the ramp. The church is 1 and half blocks away on your left (just before the 7th traffic light at N. 16th St.). The church covers the whole block between N. 15 St. and N. 16th St.

Enter through the basement door on the N. 16th St. side of the church.
NOTICE: For now, access to the building has moved to the south-side of the church on N. 15th Street, using the double doors off the large horse-shoe driveway which encircle a playground (in October 2022 there was a small fire in the attack on the north side of the church and this section is closed during reconstruction). Do not park in the horseshoe driveway due to towing; avoid parking in the neighborhood.
Using Route 66-East ... from the Beltway (I-495):
Take Exit 71 off Route 66 onto Fairfax Drive. Within a couple of blocks you get to the first big intersection where you turn left onto N. Glebe Road. Follow this 5-6 blocks and the Mt Olivet church will be on your left (just before the traffic light at N. 16th St.). The church covers the whole block between N. 15 St. and N. 16th St.

From Interstate 395-North ... Using the exit for Washington Boulevard:
Take the exit for Washington Boulevard and follow it until you come to N. 10th Street. Make a left on 10th St. N (there will be a Shell gas station on the right corner).
After 6 blocks you will cross Wilson Boulevard (Exxon gas station on far left corner) and in 1 more block turn left onto Fairfax Drive.
Continue about 16 blocks and turn right onto N. Glebe Road.
Follow this 5-6 blocks and the Mt Olivet church will be on your left (just before the traffic light at N. 16th St.).

Leave the parking lot and turn right up N. Henderson Road. Go to your second light and turn left onto N. Glebe Road. Go 12 blocks and the Mt Olivet church will be on your left (just before the 7th traffic light at N. 16th St.). The church covers the whole block between N. 15 St. and N. 16th St.

Walk From Metro Rail (DC’s Subway):
The closest Metro Rail station is Ballston. You can transfer to a bus or walk from the station.
BY BUS: Either take Metro rail or another bus to the Ballston metro station. From outside of the Metro station, use the #52-ArlingtonTransit bus to go to the church. This bus stops in front of the church on N. Glebe Rd.
WALKING (from Metro): exit the station and go west on Fairfax Drive for four blocks. Turn right on to N. Glebe Road. Go 5-6 blocks and the Mt Olivet church will be on your left (just before the traffic light at N. 16th St.). The church covers the whole block between N. 15 St. and N. 16th St. Enter through the basement door on the N. 16th St. side of the church.
